Adriano Dias Pereira was born in Lisboa in 1951 and studied at the Antonio Arroios School of Decorative Arts. His work is a permanent escape from reality, rooting his research first in the material worked on, the relationship established with the canvas and with colour, resulting in works of great plastic intensity, in which colour assumes the predominant role, but where the firm presence of drawing and movement is clear. His work can be placed within the expressionist 'matrix'.
He has exhibited at the Museum of Tapestry in Portalegre, showing works produced between 2005 and 2007, and he has been exhibiting galleries in Portugal throughout his life. Recently, he exhibited at the Centro Castro da Cola, Urique. Adriano has a studio in Almada, Lisbon.
